Meet Dr. Scott Hamilton
Get To Know Dr. Scott Hamilton
A native of Topeka, Kansas, “Dr. Scott” received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City (UMKC) School of Dentistry, where he graduated with the highest scholastic standing in his class and received a number of other awards for academic excellence. Dr. Scott earned his master’s degree in dentistry while completing his orthodontic residency at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas.
In addition to his full-time orthodontic practice, Dr. Scott has published numerous research articles, served as editor of the International Orthodontic Review Journal, is on staff as a clinical instructor in the orthodontic department at the UMKC School of Dentistry and is a Fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists, the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists. Dr. Scott is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists. He has earned the distinction of being named a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics; an honor accorded to fewer than 25 percent of all practitioners.
Dr. Scott also serves on the board of directors of several professional organizations and is very active in community and charitable events. He and his wife, Mary, have three children, Whitney, Chase, and Blake; and two grandchildren.
